GBM Senior or Specialist Worker is an intra-company transfer route — only viable if the candidate is already employed by a multinational with a UK presence. The differentiator from US L-1 is the strict 12-month prior-employment clock. If the candidate is 9 months into their current role, the advice should be 'wait 3 months and then initiate the transfer'. Leadership level matters: senior managers qualify cleanly; 'specialist knowledge' is harder to document and gets more scrutiny.
